LOEL Center CEO speaks to Kiwanis Club

-

Tracy Williams, president and CEO of the LOEL Senior Center, was the guest speaker at last week’s Kiwanis Club meeting.

Williams talked to the club about the services offered at the center, in particular the Meals on Wheels program, which has expanded to five days a week.

LOEL has provided more than 22,000 fresh, hot meals to qualifying adults this year, both through Meals on Wheels and its dining services at the center.

Williams also discussed that the LOEL Center formerly was one of two such service providers, the other being Hutchins Street Square, but Hutchins had to withdraw from those programs, making LOEL the only service agency of its type in Lodi.

The center also offers activities like yoga and other events designed to stimulate and keep active the elder population of the area.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi meets on Thursday mornings from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Eagles Hall, 217 E. Lockeford St.
