RICHARD ALLEN RIDER

Richard Allen Rider was born December 6, 1934 in Anaheim, CA. He passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2017, he was 83.

After completing his education, Richard worked as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for 40 years until his retirement, he was a member of Local 3 Operatoring/Engineering Union for 50 years.

He enjoyed bowling, working on his cattle ranch and vineyard, and hunting, but his favorite was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Russell and Rose Rider and his daughter; Tracy Ann RiderPost.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife; Beverly Rider, his four children; Jeff Rider (Ida) of Galt, Diane Rider of Sonora, Chris Loftin (Byron) of Stockton, and Renee Green (Glenn) of Lodi, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his sister; Janet Campbell of Florida.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from Noon until 6 p.m., and are invited to attend Funeral Services on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Noon at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N School Street, Lodi, Ca., with interment at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E Pine Street immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA. 95204.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donahue Funeral Home.
