Story times at Lodi Public Library

LODI — Story time for children will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Lodi Public Library, 201 W. Locust St. A Spanish-language story time will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Children are also invited to read to Fuzzy the dog at Paws to Read, a children’s literacy program, at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Mature driver safety course

STOCKTON — The Safety Council will offer a mature driver safety workshop from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

This workshop for experience­d California drivers 55 and older offers the benefits of a DMV certificat­e valid for auto insurance discounts for 3 years, informatio­n on new laws, new technologi­es, the future of driving and a study review of the DMV test questions.

LODI — The Lodi Lake Nature Area Docents will be hosting a Walk in the Woods from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 13. This is open to the public, especially those interested in becoming volunteers with the Lodi Lake docents.

Join the docents in a fun exploratio­n of the nature area, ending with hot chocolate and cookies at the Discovery Center.
