Mitch Walding High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Professional: Philadelphia Phillies
Walding, a third baseman who was promoted to the Phillies’ triple-A franchise last season, earned a non-roster invitee spot for the Phillies’ spring training. Walding finished with a .236 batting average for the double-A Reading Fightin’ Phils in 2017, with 25 home runs and 62 RBIs. He was promoted to the triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs at the end of the season, but did not make any appearances.
Kat Tudor High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Basketball College: Oregon State
Tudor, a sophomore guard, had two points and five rebounds in Friday’s 8449 loss to No. 14 UCLA, then had three points and four rebounds in Sunday’s 65-61 loss to USC.
Monica Valenzuela High school: Lodi Sport: Basketball College: Holy Names
Valenzuela, a freshman guard, had seven points, three rebounds and two assists in Wednesday’s 78-74 win over Chaminade, then had eight points and three rebounds in Friday’s 86-46 loss to Hawaii Pacific.
Alexis Cavero High school: Tokay Sport: Wrestling College: Eastern Oregon
Cavero went 1-2 at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals on Thursday and Friday, with a loss by decision to Oklahoma City’s Yvonne Galindo, a loss by technical fall to McKendree’s Andrea Sennett, and a pin in 4:12 over Life’s Zoe Wright.
Madisen Bozovich High school: Tokay Sport: Wrestling College: Eastern Oregon
Bozovich went 0-3 at the NWCA Duals, with losses to Oklahoma City’s Rachel Watters, McKendree’s Koriahne Bullock and Life’s Jordan Nelson.
Adam Gotelli High school: Elliot Sport: Basketball College: Azusa Pacific
Gotelli, a sophomore guard, had three points and a rebound in Wednesday’s 87-64 win over Fresno Pacific.
Mike Meserole High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College: Cal Maritime
Meserole, a senior guard, had three points, three rebounds and two assists in Thursday’s 84-80 loss to Benedictine, then had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals in Saturday’s 78-68 win over EmbryRiddle.
Evan Madill High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Basketball College: Cal Maritime
Madill, a sophomore guard, had three points, all of them coming on free throws, in Saturday’s win.
David Lerma High school: Elliot
Sport: Basketball College: Maranatha Baptist
Lerma, a junior guard, led the Sabercats with 16 points and had four rebounds and four steals in Saturday’s 56-54 loss to Martin Luther, then added 12 points in Tuesday’s 77-62 win over Dayspring.
Spencer Monteiro High school: Lodi Sport: Basketball College: Delta
Monteiro, a freshman forward, had two points and seven rebounds in Thursday’s 85-69 loss to Modesto.
Austin Dongon High school: Tokay Sport: Basketball College: Delta
Dongon, a freshman guard, had eight points and two boards in Thursday’s loss.
Onkar Sidhu High school: Elliot Sport: Basketball College: Cosumnes River
Sidhu, a freshman guard, had 11 points and five rebounds in Thursday’s 81-72 win over Folsom Lake, then had 15 points, five rebounds and four assists in Saturday’s 77-74 loss to Delta.
Jalen Valverde High school: Elliot Sport: Basketball College: Cosumnes River
Valverde, a freshman guard, had two points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists against Folsom Lake, then had five points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals against Delta.
Isaiah King-Halsey High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College: Monterey Peninsula
King-Halsey, a sophomore guard, had eight points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in Wednesday’s 72-60 win over San Jose, then had 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in Friday’s 85-77 loss to De Anza.
Chris Childs High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College: Columbia
Childs, a freshman guard, scored nine points and added two assists in Wednesday’s 87-79 win over College of the Sequoias, then had nine points and eight rebounds in Friday’s 67-53 win over Reedley.
Jordan Windley High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College: Columbia
Windley, a sophomore guard, had 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists against Sequoias and six points, five rebounds and four assists against Reedley.
Anthony Lewis High school: Lodi Sport: Basketball College: Modesto
Lewis, a sophomore guard, had six points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in Thursday’s win over Delta, then had 12 points, five rebounds and three assists in Saturday’s 78-73 win over Sierra.
