Virginia J. Bryan, age 95 of Lodi, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Lodi, CA.

Virginia Jordan Bryan was born April 26, 1922 in Mesa, Arizona as the fifth of six children to the late Robert and Cora (Naylor) Jordan.

Virginia spent her young adulthood working for Lockheed in Burbank as a secretary then spent many years as a stay at home mom — the job she liked best. She returned to work as secretary to the Chief of Police for the city of Glendale, CA until her retirement. She loved traveling, spending time at the beach, golf, playing bridge, cards/ board games and rooting for her Dodgers. Every year she looked forward to her “senior citizen slumber parties” with her best friends. Virginia had a zest for life and a wonderful outgoing personalit­y.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia; and later by her husband of 60 years, Russell, in 2008. She is survived by her sons: Mark (Lori) Bryan of Lodi & Gary (Leslie) Bryan of Sarasota, FL; her grandchild­ren: Joannie, Kari, Chuck, Tricia, Cindy, and Russ & her great grandchild­ren: Noah, Amelie, Piper, Parker and due soon, Peyton. Virginia’s family would like to thank Fairmont Rehab and Brookdale for their loving care. A private burial will take place at Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.
