JERRY HANSEN

-

1929 — 2018

Jerry passed away on January 7th at his home in Lodi. He was born in Salinas on April 26, 1929 to Chris and Emily Hansen.

Following his graduation from Berkeley High in 1946 he attended UC Berkeley. He was drafted into the army and served two years working at the Army Recruiting Station in San Francisco.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom. Jerry lived in Oakland, Escalon, Valley Springs, and Lodi.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy, as well as sons, Chris Bearden, Michael (Terri), Matthew and daughter, Stephanie, granddaughter Logan Bearden, and several cousins.

Jerry was an avid private pilot for over fifty years and had a variety of airplanes as well as many interests and talents. Jerry enjoyed horses, boats, trucks and building whatever fit his needs. He was truly a modern renaissance man...someone who does a little bit of everything, yet does it extremely well. He had a life well lived and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Many thanks to Visiting Angels and Vitas Hospice for their service and excellent care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 21st at 1p.m. at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.
