Find design, landscaping inspiration at Home & Garden Show
The Lodi Home & Garden Show is back, and stuffed with demonstrations and information for home renovation, interior design and landscaping projects.
A wide variety of local vendors will be at the show to give homeowners (and future homeowners) advice and ideas. Among the vendors: • Vineyard Floors will be showing off different kinds of flooring, from hardwood and carpet to waterproof options.
• Tokay Heating & Air Conditioning will provide information about HVAC systems, heater and furnace repair, and related work.
• Velvet Waters specializes in solar and tankless water heaters, along with heating and air conditioning.
• Mazzera’s in Stockton will help those looking to renovate their kitchen or bathroom start narrowing down a dream design.
Other vendors will include landscapers and nurseries, plumbers, painters, pool and spa companies, concrete companies, interior designers, insurance agents and more.
The show will also feature demonstrations, including Ahmed Hassan of HGTV’s show “Yard Crashers.”
Hassan, who will visit the Lodi Home & Garden Show on Sunday, will talk about landscaping and preparing for spring, and answer questions from the audience about their landscaping challenges.
Hassan has a long history with gardening and landscaping.
At the age of 10, he found an enthusiasm for mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and stacking wood — chores most would consider mundane. Not Hassan. Each completed task moved him closer to his purpose in life: Teaching how to creatively co-exist with nature.
Hassan’s childhood love of landscaping paved the way to a successful career as a celebrity landscaper and green-living expert.
Hassan is best known as the original host of DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers.” He has worked on several other television shows, including “Landscape Smart,” “Turf War,” “Green Me Up” and “Blog Cabin.”
Hassan co-hosted HGTV’s live coverage of the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade. He has served as guest contributor for “The Early Show News” on CBS and NBC’s “Today Show.” He is a guest columnist for several publications, including HGTV magazine.
Hassan, who grew up in the East Bay and lives in Northern California, now owns Ahmad Hassan Landscape Services, a full-service landscaping company, and has collaborated and worked on landscape and construction projects throughout the country.
“Creating beautiful spaces outdoors is what I do!” Hassan said.
The Lodi Home & Garden Show is hosted by Metro Expositions.
