Questionable leaders at Women’s March

-

Editor: Per 18 U.S. Code 2381, treason is defined as “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere is guilty of treason ...”

This definition will be important as you read this letter. I am a frequent writer to “Letters to the Editor” and those who have read my views know that I am a strong conservative. That said, I respect and value others who do not share my world view, and in no way would I want to silence or stifle other views. When I found out who some of the organizers of the “Women’s March” were over the weekend, I had to respond. Angela Davis, the 1960’s communist radical turned professor, Gloria Steinem-bra burner, and none other than actress Jane Fonda (aka Hanoi Jane) were contributors, supporters and speakers. For those of you not in the know, Jane Fonda, during part of the Vietnam War, was in North Vietnam (they were communists) straddling on top of an anti-aircraft gun that was pointed at our planes.

I think the previously mentioned definition of “treason” applies to her actions. Please reflect on this, but don’t take my word for it, do your own research. “Hanoi Jane” was a devout communist back during the war in Vietnam, and I must assume that she still is.

In my opinion, you can protest and otherwise exercise your First Amendment rights, but to purposefully attempt to cause the U.S. harm, either to its citizens, members of the military, or law enforcement is not all right. Another fact to ponder? According to their website, the American Communist Party is an organizer and supporter of the “Women’s March.”

Communists were and are enemies of this country. Coincidentally, the American Communist Party endorsed both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton! I also wouldn’t be surprised to learn that our old buddy George Soros, the billionaire, had lent his monetary assistance to the march. KEN WINCHELL Lockeford
