Brett Young High school: Lodi Sport: Baseball College: Nebraska-Kearney

Young a junior center fielder, went 2for-5 batting leadoff in a 3-0 loss to Henderson State on Feb. 8, and went 2-for-5 with a run in Saturday’s 9-4 loss to top-ranked Delta State.

Jessica Hartwell High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Softball College: Texas Tech

Hartwell, a junior infielder, singled in the Red Raiders’ first three games — a 4-2 win over Boston College and a 4-1 loss to Houston on Friday, and a 9-5 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday, before breaking out in Tuesday’s 12-5 win over UT-Arlington, going 2-for-3 with two home runs, six RBIs, three runs and two walks.

Bradi Kooyman High school: Elliot Sport: Softball College: Pacific

Kooyman, a sophomore infielder, went 2-for-4 in Friday’s 7-6 victory over Montana, then on Saturday went 2-for3 with a run in a 6-4 loss to Weber State and had a double and an RBI in a 7-6 win over Grand Canyon.

Ali Smith High school: Lodi Sport: Softball College: McPherson College

Smith, a sophomore, had a single and an RBI in Friday’s 6-2 win over St. Mary’s-Neb.

Brittany Baroni High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Softball College: McPherson College

Baroni, a sophomore pitcher, allowed two runs on four hits in three innings of work against St. Mary’s-Neb.

Britany Heinle High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Vanguard University

Heinle, a senior infielder, reached safely in all four games of the NAIA SoCal Tournament, with a single against Northwest Christian, a walk and an RBI against No. 3 Southern Oregon, a 2-for-3 game with a home run and two RBIs against OttawaAriz­ona and a single against Carroll. In Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Azusa Pacific, Heinle had a double, an RBI and a run.

Abbie Lewis High school: Lodi Sport: Softball College: William Jessup

Lewis, a freshman outfielder, had a 5for-5 day with a double, an RBI and two runs in a 14-10 loss to Northwest Christian in the championsh­ip of the NAIA SoCal Classic. In other games at the tournament, she was 2-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and two runs, in a win over Carroll, went 2-for-2 in a win over Marymount California, and had a single, an RBI and three runs in a win over La Sierra.

Lauren Garoutte High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: William Jessup

Garoutte also swung a heavy bat in the Northwest Christian loss, going 3for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and three runs. She had a single, an RBI and a run against Carroll and scored a run as a pinch runner against La Sierra.

Courtney Newport High school: Lodi Sport: Golf College: Holy Names

Newport, a senior, placed eighth at the Mikuni Sushi Shootout in Lincoln, with a 17-over 159 as the Hawks got started on the spring part of their schedule.

Sam Martinez High school: Galt Sport: Softball College: Delta

Martinez, a freshman pitcher, pitched four innings of a 6-0 loss to Ohlone, allowing six runs (one earned).

Taelor Ford High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Cosumnes River

Ford, a sophomore catcher, had a single in Tuesday’s 5-3 win over San Jose.

Korina Krueg High school: Tokay Sport: Softball

College: Cosumnes River

Krueg, a sophomore shortstop, had a double, a single and an RBI in Tuesday’s victory.

Veronica Smith High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Cosumnes River

Smith, a sophomore infielder, went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s 5-1 win over San Jose, then had a single and a run in the second game of the double-header.

Sam Amarante High school: Lodi Sport: Softball College: Hesston (Kan.)

Amarante, a freshman catcher, went 2-for-4 with a run in a 15-3 win over North Arkansas.

Kendall Richardson High school: Lodi Sport: Softball College: Hesston (Kan.)

Richardson, a sophomore infielder, had a single, a run and an RBI in the second game of the double-header against North Arkansas, a 26-4 victory.

Jenna Schneider High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Hesston (Kan.)

Schneider, a freshman infielder, went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and two runs in the first North Arkansas game, then had a walk and a run in the second.

Cameron Schubert High school: Lodi Sport: Baseball College: Delta

Schubert, a sophomore infielder, had a single, a run and an RBI in Friday’s 15-0 win over West Hills, a run in Saturday’s win over Taft and went 2-for-4 with a run in a loss to Cabrillo on Tuesday.

Nick Dentoni High school: Tokay Sport: Baseball College: Delta

Dentoni, a redshirt freshman pitcher, threw 1 2/3 innings against Taft, allowing one run. He pitched two scoreless innings on Tuesday, allowing two hits.

Jacob Jordan High school: Lodi Sport: Baseball College: Delta

Jordan, a freshman left-hander, threw a scoreless inning against West Hills with two strikeouts.

Daniel Vitoria High school: Galt Sport: Baseball College: Cosumnes River

Vitoria, a sophomore right-hander, threw three innings of relief in Friday’s 14-4 win over Lassen, striking out three while allowing two runs on four hits, then allowing six runs on six hits in four innings of work against Chabot.

High school: Tokay Sport: Baseball

College: Cosumnes River Berninger, a freshman right-hander, pitched two scoreless innings on Saturday against Lassen, allowing three hits. Corey Potthoff (Liberty Ranch) pitched an inning of the game, allowing two runs, neither of them earned.
