Lodi High students win annual Lions Club speakers contest
The Lodi Lions Club recently conducted the local club level of the 81st annual Lions Club Multiple District 4 Student Speakers Contest.
The contest is a program that includes most of the 790 local Lions Clubs throughout California. The speech contest topic for 2017-18 is “Integrity and Civility Play What Role in Today’s Society?” The contest offers the opportunity for students to earn college scholarship money as they progress through the various levels of speeches within Multiple District 4. The Lions Fourth District Students Speakers Foundation will provide scholarships totaling $103,500. Ultimately, the overall winner will earn $21,000 in scholarship money.
The Lodi Lions Club contest featured Dylan Elliott, this year’s winner, from Lodi High School, and Evan Seibly, also from Lodi High School.
