Greg O. Baker (52) of Galt, CA.

Man of God. Loving husband. Wonderful father. Doting grandfather. Greg went to be with his Lord and Savior in the afternoon of March 7, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. He was surrounded by his family at the time.

Survived by his mother, Sylvia Luna of Lodi; his father, Norman Baker of Stockton; his wife, Kellie Baker of Galt; three children, Gregory, Alexis, and Bridgette Baker; two granddaughters, Makayla and Serenity; and siblings Jessica, Jason, and Jessalyn Luna.

Greg was born on August 26, 1965 in San Francisco, CA. Greg was active in sports as a child and continued playing sports into adulthood. His love of God began early. At age 8, he made the choice to ride the bus to church over riding his minibike so he could be awarded a certificate. As an adult, he was very active in his church community and, at various times, he was a Worship Leader, Youth Pastor, and Senior Pastor. He could often be found riding dirt bikes with his children and family vacations frequently involved off-road vehicle parks and camping. He was also involved in RUTS (Racers Under The Son) dirt bike ministry for many years. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 34 years at the time of his passing.

Greg’s celebration of life will be held at Faith Community Church, 18621 N. Hwy 99, Acampo, CA on Saturday, March 17th at 2pm. Food and fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers family is asking for donations to be made to “Thrive Youth Group Scholarship Fund”. Make checks payable to Faith Community Church, with “Thrive” in the memo. These funds will be used to help kids get to camp and functions that do not have the finances to go. Their address is listed above.
