First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will hold the following services for Lent:

• Palm Sunday, March 25, featuring a children’s palm processional, 9:30 a.m.

• Maundy Thursday, March 29, featuring Holy Communion, 6:30 p.m.

• Good Friday, March 30, with community service, noon.

The church will hold Easter worship services at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, April 1, featuring music by the Chancel Choir. Easter brunch will be served at 9 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for children at 9:30 a.m.

The church also offers two senior exercise programs, open to the public, in its fellowship hall.

Energizers, a low-impact aerobic class for active seniors, meets from 9 to 10 a.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with fees of $6 per class or $36 per month.

Pacesetters, an exercise program for seniors who wish to remain seated or standing and exercise at a slower pace, meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:15 to 11 a.m., with fees of $4 per class or $30 per month.

The church also offers two free book clubs, with the afternoon group meeting at 1 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month in the church library and the evening group meeting

The Beth Hallel Messianic Fellowship will host a Passover celebration at 5:30 p.m. March 30 at Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine St., Lodi.

Reservations are $20 per person for Beth Hallel members and guests they invite, $35 for occasional attendees and guests they invite and $50 for all other guests. Children ages 12 and younger eat free.

Emanuel Lutheran Church is now accepting registration for its 2018 Vacation Bible School, which will take place June 11 through 15 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church

Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold its Easter for Kids program from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, featuring story-telling, music, crafts and snacks.

The church will also host its Mornings with Mommy program from 10 to 11 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, featuring arts and crafts, songs, stories and snacks for children 5 years old and younger and their parents, grandparents or guardians.
