Richard “Dick” Hugh Orr, 79, of Lodi passed away on March 14, 2018. He was born in England on February 5, 1939 to Richard Gavin Orr and Muriel Rose Orr.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, May Orr, his children: Kelsey Orr, Caroline McNeil (John), Gordon Godin (Debbie); step-son Jonathan Williams (Hillary), his sister, Heather Curtis, his niece Sallie Curtis, and nephew Peter Curtis; grand-children: Erica, Richard, Taylor (Jake), Clayton, Cole, and Zoey; grand-nieces and nephews: Katie (Robert), Emma, Shane (Leasha), Joanne (Chad), and Darin; great-grand-children, nieces and nephews: Kale, Keaton, Zack, Skyler, Ava, Morris, Victor, Hugo, Ronnie May, Brett, Lilly and George. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Jennifer.

Dick worked as a bartender at Brunos Restaurant in San Francisco for many years where he met his wife in 1986. He was owner of the Spindrift Restaurant in the Delta and the Roundhouse Tavern in Lodi. He also worked as a bus driver for the LUSD and Ron Taylor Tours and the Wine and Country Cardroom and Restaurant. He was also a member of the Lodi Eagles.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was always full of life and would make you laugh with his great story-telling. He loved being on the water and spent many wonderful years on the Delta boating with family and friends. His favorite hobbies included playing golf and poker. He was a fan of the Giants baseball and the Forty-Niners football teams.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at the San Joaquin Yacht Club, Bethel Island on April 29, 2018. It will be a potluck celebratio­n at 12:00 noon.
