VERLEEN ALLEN COMISH MANWARING

On April 14, 2018 Verleen Allen Comish Manwaring returned to her Heavenly Father. Verleen Allen Comish was born May 11, 1926 in the home of her parents in Preston, Idaho. Verleen was the youngest of 8 children and twin to her sister Verla.

Mom met Harold Manwaring in L.A. and were married November 22, 1949. They had three children, David (Beth), Alan (Julie) and Kathleen, 7 grandchild­ren and 14 great grandchild­ren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and niece (Kathleen).

Verleen was a wonderful and accomplish­ed artist, and profession­al seamstress. She hand painted note paper and speciality greeting cards for many famous people, including, Judy Garland’s baby announceme­nts for Liza Minnelli, and Christmas cards for then California governor Earl Warren, and other notables. There are beautiful paintings of hers hanging in many homes. She also taught sewing classes in Lodi for many years.

Loved by all who met her, she was kind, loving, generous, and caring. Known for always smiling.

Services in Lodi will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at the LDS Stake Center 1510 W. Century Blvd. Lodi, CA 95242 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho on Monday April 30, 2018. Memories and condolence­s may be shared with the family at www.webbmortua­ry.com
