Alejandre’s two HRs help Eagles in rout

Joshua Alejandre went 3for-4 with two home runs and seven RBIs to help Elliot Christian’s baseball team to a 15-4 victory over Stone Ridge Christian on Monday at Zupo Field.

Six others in the lineup had two hits for the Eagles — Nate Bond was 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI, Logan Kottinger was 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI, Alexander Pinasco was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, Cody Doell was 2-for-4 with a run, Kyle Beadles was 2-for-3 with two runs and Noah Byrd was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Nick Figueroa added a double and a run, and Zach VanGroning­en had a single.

On the mound, Doell pitched four innings, allowing three runs (none earned) on two hits with seven strikeouts, and Nick Figueroa finished the last two innings with no hits, one unearned run and three strikeouts.

Lodi High placed second at Monday’s Tournament at the par-71 Elkhorn Country Club in Stockton, with a team score ot 407 to first-place St. Mary’s 406.

Justin Gums was the low medalist in the tournament by a large margin, shooting a 5under 66. The second-place golfer shot a 75.

Evan Seibly shot an 81, Jack LeBaron had an 83, Dean Ky had an 84, Tyler Rowlands had a 93 and Trevor Topham had a 96.

Lodi, undefeated in the TCAL, plays St. Mary’s today at Stockton Country Club. The Rams have two losses, and finish Thursday against Lincoln, which also had two losses, before the TCAL Tournament on Monday back at Elkhorn. Varsity

Frosh-soph SOFTBALL

Alyssa Pinto belted a walkoff double to hand the Flames a victory on Monday, and Johnna Schroeder and Dessa Zavala each had triples.

Ashlee Toy went 3-for-5 with a run, Schroeder finished 2for-5 with three runs and an RBI, Shelby Katzakan was 2for-4 with three RBIs and a run, Danielle Pfenning was 3for-3 with an RBI, Zavala was 3-for-4 with a run and Marissa Fabian was 2-for-3 with a run.

Pfenning pitched two innings, allowing six runs on five hits, and Toy finished the last six innings, allowing one run on six hits. Each pitched struck out two batters.

Mia Misasi had a triple and an RBI to account for one of Tokay’s five hits on Monday, along with singles by Kayly Pau, Aliah Cisneros, Hannah Hauschildt and Simone Medeiros. Hauschildt and Medeiros each scored a run.

Kiara Baker went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, a walk and two runs in Monday’s loss, which dropped the Flames to 8-9 overall and 5-6 in the TCAL.

Sydney Feathersto­n was 2for-4 with a run, Caitlyn Ahlbach was 2-flr-3 with a double, an RBI and a walk, Alexis Bindi was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Jaelyn Brooks had a single and Gillian Donnelly had a single, was hit by a pitch and scored a run.

Lily Cadena hit a double to account for Tokay’s lone hit in Monday’s loss, which went five innings due to the 10-run rule.
