ELLIOT FOURTH AT TOURNAMENT

Elliot Christian’s softball team dropped both of its games on Saturday to finish fourth in its own tournament, a two-day affair with three game for each team.

The Eagles fell 16-8 to Redwood Christian in the first game, followed by a 17-8 loss to Mountain House. Elliot’s Central California Athletic Alliance foe Millennium won the tournament, with wins over Mountain House (14-5) and Redwood Christian (15-0).

Madi Sepp led the Eagles’ offense in the loss to Redwood Christian, going 4-for-4 with a pair of triples, while Annabelle Sepp was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Bailey Correia was 2-for-4 and Jillian Thuotte was 2for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Annabelle Sepp pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts.

Against Mountain House, Correia was 4-for-4, Madi Sepp was 2-for-4 with a home run, Lexie Juelch was 3-for4, Annabelle Sepp was 2-for4, Kylie Whittle was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Katie Peterson had a double and an RBI. Thuotte and Shania Mayer each singled.

Correia pitched the first three innings, and Annabelle Sepp finished the last three innings in the circle.

Galt High went 1-1 on Saturday after dropping its opener on Friday, with a 4-1 loss to Vacaville Christian and a 9-5 win over Bradshaw Christian.

Redwood Christian placed second, and Mountain House placed third.
