Other accomplishments to consider

Editor: It seems the previously submitted “list of Trump accomplishments” that “effected (sic) us,” missed quite a few.

Trump: has made over 3,000 false or misleading statements and has lied about the media not covering his meager “accomplishments;” is facilitating the dismantling of the First Amendment; has not ordered Homeland Security to take measures to prevent foreign nations from meddling in our elections; appointed unqualified and corrupt individuals to cabinet positions; reversed decades of regulations to allow corporations to make more money, while consumers get the shaft; submitted a budget that will add $2.3 trillion to the deficit; exited TPP, allowing China to dominate world trade; placed tariffs on imported goods, harming American jobs and consumers; gave huge tax breaks to corporations that are using them to make stock buybacks, jacking up stock prices and benefiting only stockholders; moved our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem to appease wealthy Jewish and evangelical donors, provoking riots resulting in over 60 deaths and 2,700 injuries; created a human rights crisis at our southern border; is promoting white nationalism and white supremacists; has used the office of the president to enrich himself and his corrupt family members.

Trump bragged about getting a Nobel Peace Prize for meeting with North Korea. That understandably angered Kim Jong Un. Bolton and Pence promoted a “Libya model” of de-nuclearization for the DPRK conjuring up, for Kim, visions of Muammar Gaddafi being executed by the roadside.

Trump and his crew of incompetent cronies had not even developed a negotiation plan thinking they could easily outwit a brutal dictator with nuclear capability.

Trump has been throwing out conspiracy theories in his desperation to discredit the FBI and the DOJ, attempting to poison the investigation into wrong-doings by his campaign. His current lie, “a spy was implanted in my campaign,” is only believed by the most gullible Trump supporters.

As for the “silent coup,” it does not exist — we live in a democracy under the rule of law. Wait for it … more corrupt Trump associates will be hauled into court. The special counsel is doing a great job based on facts and evidence. JOANNE DELSOLAR Lodi
