Theodore K. Hutz, known to all as Ted Senior, age 89 who lived in Lodi, Stockton and Woodbridge for a combined 59 years, peacefully took his final breath at O’Connor Woods Retirement Home in Stockton in the early morning hours of Monday, May 7, 2018.

Ted was born in Hackensack, NJ on August 2, 1928 to his parents Wolfgang and Anne (Beottger) Hutz. After graduating high school at 15 and then entering Dartmouth, he chose to follow his own path out West, starting as a constructi­on laborer in Anchorage, AK from 1948 to 1950 and then traveled to Mexico to learn Spanish through 1951. After demonstrat­ing leadership while working in Alaska, he served his country proudly in the US Army, from 1951 – 1953, assigned to Army artillery units stationed in Germany.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in History from UC Berkeley, Ted settled his family in Lodi/Stockton where he was a successful HVAC contractor for over 30 years at McLaughlin Air Conditioni­ng and Heating Co. in Stockton, CA. Unwilling to fully retire he embarked on a second successful career as a real estate investor.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Maureen (Brown) Hutz, four children Lisa (Greg) Olson, Theodore (Holli) Hutz, Karen Hutz, Marc (Valerie) Hutz, six grandchild­ren: Eric (Ana), Brittany, Maureen (Jonathan), Moses, Cole and Samuel, four greatgrand­children: Nicolas, Victoria, Elliot and Theo, a sister, Helen L (Hutz) Von der Lieth and nephew, Christophe­r Von der Lieth.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave. in Lodi, CA. Friends are invited to join family at Woodbridge Country Club following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the BMW Club of Northern California in memory of Ted.
