Wine & Roses to host wine symposium
The third annual Lodi Vineyard and Wine Economics Symposium will be held Thursday, June 28 at the Wine & Roses conference center in Lodi.
The event was created in 2016 to address the economic and financial aspects of the wine business in Lodi and other local wine-producing regions.
The full-day conference will include the results of the 2018 Lodi Vineyard and Wine Survey as well as topics presented by wine and grape growing industry leaders including:
• Economic trends driving the Lodi ag region by wine and winery, by consultant Brad Alderson.
• How wines from Lodi and surrounding regions thrive in the broad market, by Nielsen Research’s Brian Lechner.
• The importance of Lodi wines in retail channels and opportunities for growth, by Curtis Mann of Raley’s Family of Fine Stores
• Premiumization pros building local high-end brands.
• The Lodi-Delta grape and bulk wine report by Erica Moyer and Marc Cuneo of Turrentine Grape Brokerage
• How wine grape growers thrive, by Jeff Bitter of Allied Grape Growers and Rodney Schatz of Peltier.

On Wednesday, June 27, a VIP kickoff dinner will be held beginning with a reception at the home of John Ledbetter. Tickets for the dinner, available only to registered attendees of the Lodi Vineyard and Wine Economics Symposium, are limited.
