What do local citizens know about their watershed? Chase Alan
The Mokelumne Watershed provides water for people all around San Joaquin County. As Lodians I would hope we know at least something about our watershed, right? As soon as I figured out we were writing articles for this newspaper, I knew I wanted to do interviews. I decided to go to Lodi Lake and interview some fellow Lodians and test their knowledge about our watershed. I asked three people three questions about our watershed. Here’s what they said.
Everyone’s Three Questions:
1. What California watershed is Lodi located in? Answer: The Mokelumne Watershed
2. Where does the watershed start? Answer: The Sierra Nevada Mountains
3. True or false, do owls live in the watershed habitat. Answer: Yes 1. Answer: Mokelumne 2. Answer: Way up in the Mountains.
3. Answer: Yes
Reese McIntosh
1. Answer: The Delta 2. Answer: Tahoe 3. Answer: Yes
Katie Smith
1. Answer: Mokelumne Watershed 2. Answer: Lake Camanche 3. Answer: Yes
As you can see, these three people did pretty well on these questions. The total stats were 5 1 ⁄2 out of 9 correct (the half was from when Chase Alan answered, way up in the mountains). I think that we should all learn about our watershed because it provides our water. I hope that someone can learn something from this article. I hope you enjoyed this article. Thank you for reading!
