Robert Courtney Cole passed away June 26th at the of age 82, born in Inca North Carolina to Jesse and Gladys Cole. He attended grade school in Brentwood California. He attended Stockton Jr High, and received a varsity letter in track. He joined the Navy reserves for four years. He worked as a mechanic for many years, and was in the trucking industry for approximat­ely 50 years.

Bob and a friend Darrell Wilkerson went in partners to build a dragster. He was an original member Stockton Franklin syndicate car club. He had more vehicles than anyone knew. He liked watching NASCAR. Bob loved to ride motorcycle­s and go camping with family and friends.

Friday nights he and his wife would get together with friends for dinner and cards.

He and his former wife Elaine had two Sons Robert and John. He later married his present wife Janet of 47 years and has two stepchildr­en, Lynnette and Darrell and four grandchild­ren Ashley, Travis, Alexandra, Gianna and a great granddaugh­ter Avery and niece Pattie. Preceding him was his brother Harry and his sister Mary.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Animal connection humane Society of Lodi.

A celebratio­n of life will be held on July 13th in the social hall at Vinewood Community Church 1900 West Vine St., Lodi, CA. From 11 till 2 pm.
