Divisive politics

Editor: It is so unbelievable what is happening with this state/country. When someone did or said something that may or may not be appropriate and that person apologized for the statement or remarks, that should be the end of it, but not these days.

We attack, we condemn and pass judgement equal to life in prison. We do not forgive or accept that all of us will use bad judgement at some time.

Roseanne did tweet something and now is judged and condemned. What is wrong with everyone? It is not what she said but the response that should make all of us terrified of our futures.

The Democratic-Socialist Party is now telling the American public to express loathing to Republicans or people who work for the president. Is this the start of the next civil war?

Instead of bringing our country together; the politicians are trying to cause division between all Americans. If we do not go along with the immoral population, you are harassed. You cannot have an opinion if it is different from the immoral sector. If you are a Christian or Jew, you better not even try to express your thoughts. NANCY VINCELET Stockton
