FRIEDA MARIE (WILKEN) BETTENHAUSEN

Born January 2nd, 1919 in Adams, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2018 in Lodi, CA, at the age of 99.

Frieda was a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. In past years she enjoyed shopping, estate sales, and family get-togethers. She was known for her generosity, beautiful smile and friendly nature.

Frieda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Irven, her parents Albert Wilken and Martha (Wilken) Cummings, sisters Alma Shipp, Tilda Crisante, and brothers Roy and Alvin Wilken.

Frieda is survived by her loving son Gary (Sue), and her devoted grandchildren Kristie Bettenhausen, Tami Massi (Tom), and Tom Severson (Robbyn), great grandchildren BellaRose and Kaden MogoBettenhausen, Ethan Massi, Jason Severson, Brayden and Brodie Ranger, and a host of nieces( including Rosie Weich and Sharon Valinoti of Lodi), nephews and friends.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Lodi Nursing and Rehab for their dedication and loving care to mom.

Visitation will be held Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd at Lodi Funeral Home between 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. located at 725 S. Fairmont. The service will be held Monday 23rd at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave., Lodi, CA. There will be a private interment at Cherokee Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frieda’s honor to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
