Rooster Tails Fishing Club breakfast

The Rooster Tails Fishing Club will host its monthly breakfast on Aug. 17 at the Auburn Elks Lodge, 195 Pine St., Auburn.

Doors open at 7 a.m., and the $15 buffet breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. followed by a presentati­on from Vance Staplin, a member of the Golden Gate Salmon Associatio­n’s board of directors and former profession­al fishing guide who will discuss the 2018 salmon season.

Lodi Tractor Supply firm hosts pet supplies drive and animal adoptions

Lodi Tractor Supply Company will host an animal adoption event on Aug. 25 at its store, 360 S. Cherokee Lane, Lodi.

Local animal organizati­ons interested in participat­ing should register by Aug. 22 by visiting

The store will also hold a pet supplies drive throughout the month of August, collecting new sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies, beds, leashes, bowls and more to be donated to local rescues and shelters.
