Betty Lee Loy (known to her grandchild­ren and close friends as Poo Poo), age 91 years old went peacefully to be with our Lord on July 26, 2018. Betty was born in Stockton on August 1, 1926 and lived most of her life in Stockton and Lodi. Recently she had relocated to Chico, CA to live closer to her youngest daughter, Melinda Loy and her granddaugh­ter Megan.

In Lodi she worked at The Toggery and Lodi Super Market for many years as a bookkeeper. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was active in Warm Hearts and served on many committees. Betty enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting and playing numerous games with anyone who was willing to partake! Her friendline­ss and acceptance of people will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was known for her spunkiness and love of life.

Her husband of 46 years, Milton Loy, preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by her sister Doris and two other daughters, Melanie Karp (Tim) and Meredith Williams (Dave) and grandchild­ren Bryan (Kelly), Lindsey (John), Erin and Dana and great grandchild­ren Preston, Taylor, Katie and Charlee and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebratio­n of Life is planned at the Lodi First Methodist Church at 200 W. Oak St. on October 20, 2018 at 11 a.m.
