NELLIE JUNE SHAW HILL

July 20, 1931 — August 30, 2018

June Hill, 88, passed unexpectedly, but peacefully, into the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

She is survived by her devoted spouse of 17 years, Robert John Hill; a daughter, Karen Mattison, (Gary), also of Stockton. Other survivors include nieces Naomi Graves (Paul), Jeri Sue (Sohbi), Kathy Fasteneau (Dave) of Tigard, OR, a great niece, Lori Hedrick (Chuck), and many friends who loved her infectious smile and vivacious personality. Predeceased by her parents Naomi and Rue Crawford, former spouse Johnnie Shaw, sisters Peggi Terry (Sam), Martha Christopherson and her beloved dog, Ginger Sue.

June was born in Oklahoma City, OK and lived in Stockton the past 76 years. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the San Joaquin County D.A.’s Office and the local Machinists’ Union.

June was a member of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s STARS Program, the Lodi Book Club, the Lodi Newcomer’s Club, the Widowed Persons Association of California, and was an active member of First Baptist Church, Stockton, Ca, having served on their Bereavement Committee and as a member of the Crusaders Class.

Visitation is Friday, September 7th from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi, CA 95240. Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 am at First Baptist Church, 3535 N. El Dorado St. Stockton, CA 95204. Reception immediately following the service. Committal will be at the Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine St. Lodi, CA.
