JAMES E. KAUFFROATH “JIM”

Jim Kauffroath, age 79, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Oct. 31, 2018 in Redding, CA with his family at his side. Born Oct. 7, 1939 in Buckeye, Arizona on the family farm to Ruby and Emmett Kauffroath. The family then moved to Porterville, CA where Jim spent his younger years. Jim spent his high school years in Sacramento and met his wonderful wife, Shirley, and started their family. Jim built many homes for the family in Sacramento and Lodi. Jim worked in the savings and loan business for a few years and then was an appraiser in the Lodi area where the family lived for many years. Most important to Jim was his family. He loved watching his sons and grandsons play sports, and loved watching the S.F. 49ers. He even found time to play his trombone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby & Emmett Kauffroath and his brother, Dean Kauffroath. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, who were married for 58 years, and his children, Bryan (Andrea), Rick (Lisa) and Sheri (Todd), his grandchildren, Karis, Ashley, Alexa, Max and Weston, and his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Aubrey and Monroe ( a baby on the way!) and his sisters Shirley Tutton, Alice Schack and Donna Warner. Jim would like to be remembered as a loving son, husband, brother, father, and grandpa.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., Nov. 17, 2018 at GracePoint Church at 11am.
