Larry N. Sherman, 72, passed away November 9, 2018 at his residence following a long illness. He was born on December 18, 1945 in Lodi California where he was raised and attended school. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1963.

He went to work for his father at Sherman Electric and when his father retired he ran Sherman Electric until 1985. Larry was a Level One reserve with the San Joaquin County Sheriff Department for 10 years and in 1985 went to work for them full time. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Mokelumne Fire Department. In 1992 he moved to Walker, California and became a deputy sheriff with the Mono Country Sheriff Department. He retired in 2007 at the rank of sergeant.

He loved living in the mountains and enjoyed hunting, hiking and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita Sherman, of Walker California. Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelly Sherman, of Lodi. Daughter, Michelle Brasuel, of Lodi. Daughter and Son-in-law, Sherri and Erron Stutterfie­ld, of Turlock. Mother, Elsie Sherman of Lodi. Brother, Dale Sherman of Lodi. And 7 grandchild­ren. Three nephews and one niece from Lodi, California, Craig and Sherri Watts, Keith Watts, Jean and Tom Powell and John and Jamie Sherman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Forrest Harlan Sherman.

Services and interment will be private.
