James Fredrick Fletcher, 69, gained his Heavenly wings on October 25, 2018 with his wife and daughter by his side, after a struggle with cancer.

Jim was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 24, 1949 to Jack and Marie Peart. Jim graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA in 1968. After graduating, he enrolled in the Army and was in active duty in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970, and was awarded the Bronze Star Metal, the Army Commendation for Heroism, and the Sharpshooter Badge.

Shortly after he was discharged from war, he met his wife Karen Freimarck, and they were married on December 29, 1971. Jim was then blessed with the birth of his daughter in 1983. Throughout Jim’s life he worked at Lodi Iron Works for 5 years, then worked for Corando Machine Works, now called CTI in Stockton, for 39 years, retiring from there in 2015. Jim enjoyed working on hot rods, going to car shows, and gambling. He was very mechanically inclined. Most of all, he truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother Marie Fletcher and father Jack Peart. He is survived by his beloved wife Karen, daughter Lisa, three grandchildren Mason, Kylie, Navayah, his loving family, and many friends.
