Lodi Police arrest teen linked to fatal Nov. 4 shooting

Lodi police on Saturday made a third arrest in connection with the fatal Nov. 4 shooting of 26-year-old Nickolaus Martinez on Louie Avenue in Lodi.

According to a post on the Lodi Police Department’s Facebook page, detectives arrested a 17-year-old male at approximat­ely 10 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of murder, robbery, attempted murder, burglary and conspiracy charges in connection with Hernandez’ death.

Officers arrived at a residence on the 400 block of Louie Avenue at approximat­ely 12:29 a.m. Nov. 4, where they found Hernandez — who was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest — and a 17-yearold male who was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.

Police believe this to be a targeted home invasion robbery, where three armed suspects allegedly entered the victims’ home.

A 16-year-old male was arrested in Manteca with assistance from the Manteca Police Department and the AB 109 Task Force on Nov. 6 on suspicion of murder, robbery, attempted murder, burglary and conspiracy charges.

A 15-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of robbery, burglary and conspiracy charges later on Nov. 6 when a parent brought her to the police station.
