Shirley Ann Schauer Turner unexpected­ly passed away on November 21, 2018 at the spry age of 84. Shirley was born February 9, 1934 in Harvey, ND to Albert and Ann Schauer. Her family moved to California and proudly settled in Galt in 1946. Shirley graduated from Galt High School in 1952, October of that year she married Dick Turner. They had two sons Mark and Rodney. Shirley and Dick enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends. Shirley also enjoyed traveling to New York State to visit Dicks family.

Shirley worked at her family’s movie theater in Galt and the Galt Frostie. She worked at her Uncle Eric Speiss’s real estate office. She also was also business partners in the Ladies Touch Wallpaperi­ng with Bonnie Gross for over 20 years, she was also a caterer for many years.

Shirley belonged to several clubs and organizati­ons including the Galt Historical Society, Moose Lodge, New Comers Club and the Widows Club. She was also the Queen Mum of the Shady Ladies Red Hat Society of Galt and A Grandma Cop with Galt CAPS, which she loved.

Shirley loved the San Francisco 49ers, entertaini­ng family and friends, talking with her friends, spending time with her family especially her 5 Great grandkids. She loved fashion, all of her flashy jewelry and getting her hair done every Friday morning at Hairworks while talking with friends.

Over the last year and half Shirley lived her life to the fullest going on many trips, making new friends and having the time of her life with her companion Larry.

Shirley is survived by her son Rodney and beloved daughter-in-law Debbie, granddaugh­ters Molly and Mindy, grandson-in-laws Nick and Tyler, great-grand children Grace, Kirra, Chris, Scarlett and Charlie. Son Mark, sister Lois, brother Milo (Karen), nieces and nephews, the best neighbor she could as for, Janelle and many friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Dick and her parents.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 at the Moose Lodge in Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shirley’s name to Citizens Assisting with Patrol Services (CAPS) c/o Galt Police Department, 455 Industrial Way, Galt, Ca 95632.
