Sage advice from a recent graduate

- indeed.com.

Editor: After I was done with college, I thought to myself “now what?”

Of course, pretty much almost any college graduate who receives their degree may have those same three words trudging around in their head. I actually did not even walk for graduation, since I believed that getting that piece of paper legitimizing my undergraduate career was more important than walking on a stage in front hundreds of strangers, but to each their own I assume.

I was incredibly lucky to graduate college with no student loans or debt, due to my parents supporting me financially during my undergraduate career throughout the entire run. I knew many others and have some friends who struggled financially in college, but made it by just fine. That was because even though they qualified for student loans or financial aid and are still paying off loans today, they knew that in the long run it would be worth it to receive the education they were always promised. However, in the end, many of us face the reality of trying to find a job right after college, and it feels like life may hit us in the face, tell us to snap out of it, then to start searching on

I feel as if my life has just started. The future is scary, exciting, and hopeful. It always will be. But, to anyone who has just graduated college or trying to find a job, just know that as long as you try and persevere through even the most challenging of obstacles, it will be worth it in the end. We just have to find our own niche and purpose in life, even if it means taking risks or failing.

The point is, do not worry about what others are telling you, but be willing to work hard, step out of your comfort zone, and take advantage of employment opportunities, even if they might not seem to be the most attractive towards the future career you have always wanted. Keep calm, and search on. Oh, and do not forget to relax. You graduated college!

Left with no voice or choice

Editor: Liberals out there must be so proud of your illustrious Gov. Newsom. In six months he has accomplished a lot of chaos for the commonsense taxpayer.

First, he imposed a moratorium on the state death penalty, which means not one of those killers can

1 be executed for the next 7 ⁄2 years until Newsom leaves office.

In those 71⁄2 years, Newsom and his radical, liberal politicians are going to use every trick in the book and their power to eliminate the death penalty.

Newsom wants to protect the 737 cold-blooded murderers from being executed, with also the help of the federal and state courts. Talk about hypocrisy. A few months ago Newsom issued a welcome through the media to any woman in the nation to come to California for an abortion.

In other words, it’s perfectly fine with him to murder innocent fetuses, but these vicious murderers have to be protected from our system.

Then about two weeks ago he proposed that California (taxpayers) pay for health insurance for an estimated 90,000 undocumented immigrants in California.

While the middle class continues to get taxed out of existence by the federal and state governments, we residents of California have no choice or voice.
