Stuck in Lodi Car Show canceled due to COVID
LODI — The American Steel Car Club of Lodi has announced the cancelation of its 25th annual Stuck in Lodi Car Show, which had been scheduled for Aug. 1, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The club canceled the show out of concerns for the health and safety of participants.
The Stuck in Lodi Car Show is expected to return in August 2021.
County seeks volunteers to serve
The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commissions. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, June 12.
Supervisors will consider qualified applications at its July 7 meeting. All members appointed by the board will be required to attend training. Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.
• Housing Authority Board: One tenant older than 62 registered with the housing authority.
• Workforce Development Board: One Fourth district representative of local business, including business owners, chief executives or operating officers of businesses, and other business executives including human resources executives, with optimum policy making or hiring authority.
