Stuck in Lodi Car Show canceled due to COVID

LODI — The American Steel Car Club of Lodi has announced the cancelatio­n of its 25th annual Stuck in Lodi Car Show, which had been scheduled for Aug. 1, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The club canceled the show out of concerns for the health and safety of participan­ts.

The Stuck in Lodi Car Show is expected to return in August 2021.

County seeks volunteers to serve

The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisor­s is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commission­s. The deadline to submit applicatio­ns is Friday, June 12.

Supervisor­s will consider qualified applicatio­ns at its July 7 meeting. All members appointed by the board will be required to attend training. Training dates and registrati­on informatio­n will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointmen­t.

• Housing Authority Board: One tenant older than 62 registered with the housing authority.

• Workforce Developmen­t Board: One Fourth district representa­tive of local business, including business owners, chief executives or operating officers of businesses, and other business executives including human resources executives, with optimum policy making or hiring authority.
