Vote Trump out

-

Editor: Trump is the first president since World War II to not understand the importance of NATO and his neo-isolationist policies have hurt the United States both politically and economically. He has damaged our alliances and been manipulated by our enemies.

He does not understand or respect our institutions and appears to have very little knowledge of our history. He has no regard for the rule of law. Let’s not forget about Trump University and the Trump Foundation and how because of these frauds, he had to pay a significant restitution.

He does not have the education, the intellect or the moral character to be our president. He rants on about fake news and calls any news he does not like a hoax. Let us remember that every despot and authoritarian vilifies the media. Every fascist regime finds a minority group to blame for all the ills of their country. Do we really want a president who has referred to white supremacists and neoNazi demonstrators as “very fine people?”

Do we really want a president who thinks global warming is a hoax and has no understanding of our appreciation of science? His talents consist of bullying and self-promotion. Consider how many times he has declared bankruptcy? Why do you suppose he won’t release his tax records?

His lack of respect for women in his history of sexual assault is common knowledge.

Not long after taking office Trump closed down the National Security Council‘s Office of Pandemic Preparedness. Imagine how much better prepared we could have been for COVID19 if that staff would’ve been able to do the work. In early January 2020 the CDC, the NIH and numerous public health experts were advising the White House about COVID-19 but their warnings were ignored. In January and February, while the virus was spreading here in the United States, Trump did nothing even though he knew about the threat to the country. As is typical for him he’s always looking for someone else to blame. It’s time to get this national disgrace out of the White House. FREE NAHS
