Adventist Health welcomes new nurse at urology office
Family nurse practitioner Ryan Vaccarezza has joined Adventist Health Lodi Memorial and will be working with longtime local urologists Dr. Nancy Little, Dr. N. Erick Albert and Dr. Ayad Khourdaji at their medical office on Ham Lane.
Vaccarezza joins the urology practice after years of serving in family practice offices, as well as hospital emergency rooms. Previously, she saw patients at Adventist Health’s Millsbridge offce in Lodi, as well as at the emergency department at Lodi Memorial. She has always had an interest in health and science, and practicing medicine allows her to find unique ways to help her patients feel well and live better.
“I love the investigative side” says Vaccarezza, who enjoys digging into the science of how the body works in order to help a patient feel better. “You get to do something that improves their quality of life, health status and help them live a longer, happier life. When you see that, it’s incredibly rewarding.”
The urology office on Ham Lane specializes caring for both men and women who are experiencing symptoms related to the bladder, kidneys and reproductive organs. Vaccarezza and the team of doctors help patients suffering from urinary incontinence, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, hernias, infertility, Peyronie’s disease, prostate cancer and other urological issues.
Vaccarezza said she looks forward to working with patients, and she encourages patients who might be putting off appointments for urologicalrelated problems to make an appointment.
“It's such an important part of patient's health, and they should not hesitate to come in and discuss their concerns,” Vaccarezza says. “We’re here so we can help patients feel healthy and like themselves.”
Vaccarezza earned a master’s degree in nursing education from California State University, Fresno.
She is married with two young children. In her spare time, Vaccarezza enjoys spending time with family and reading.
