Supervisors seek volunteers for boards and commissions
STOCKTON — The San
Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commissions. The board will consider qualified applications at its May 4 meeting. All appointed members will be required to attend training. Dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.
The following applications are due by April 1:
• Agricultural Advisory Board — One fourth supervisoral district representative
• Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee — Two board appointments
• Council for Quality Education and Care of Children — One consumer representative
• Housing authority board — One commissioner
• In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Council — One user representative
• Thornton Community Center Advisory Board — One low-income representative
• Thornton Municipal Advisory Council — Three members
• Workforce Development Board — One atlarge business representative and one Community Based Organization education and training for clients with barriers representative
The following applications are due by April 9:
• Assessment Appeals Board #1 — One second regular member
• In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Commission — One other representative and two user representatives
• Workforce Development Board — Two atlarge representatives of local businesses
