Adventist Lodi welcomes nurse to prenatal practice
Family nurse practitioner Vanessa Sosa has joined Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Medical Office Prenatal Care.
Sosa, who grew up in Lodi, joins the prenatal practice after more than eight years of providing patient care as a nurse at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial’s outpatient medical practices, hospital and emergency department.
She is excited to make the transition to specialize in family practice and prenatal care, where she will focus on getting to know her patients through their pregnancy care and screening, postpartum care and family planning.
“I love getting to know my patients and their families,” Sosa said. “I have always been people-oriented, and medicine has allowed me to combine my passion for caring for others, advocacy, patient education and disease management.”
Sosa also feels called to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to each of her patients. The daughter of immigrant parents, she saw firsthand barriers that keep some from obtaining quality care.
With personalized care and attention with her own patients, she hopes to begin to break through some of those walls. Sosa earned a master of science in nursing from California State University, Sacramento and a family nurse practitioner master of science in Nursing from United States University in San Diego.

Vine St., Suite 103 in Lodi, as well as Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Galt Multispecialty Care, located at 387 Civic Drive in Galt.
