Tail-Waggers
Gidget and Penny
Gidget and Penny are 7 1/2 years old and bonded littermates, both weighing about 10 pounds. Gidget is outgoing, while Penny can be a little reserved. They both would enjoy plenty of one-onone attention, but Penny would especially appreciate it. Both dogs love to play with toys, especially ones that crinkle or squeak. They enjoy being on the go and travel well, and Gidget especially gets excited for car rides. They also like snuggling during TV time. Penny perks up for treats. Both dogs are house-trained and use a dog door. They would do best in a family home with gentle children 12 and older. Gidget and Penny have been spayed and microchipped, and their vaccinations are current. Previous Pekingese owners are preferred, as these short-nosed breeds require special care especially during the summer.
Peanut
Peanut is 2 years old. He is playful and loving. He would be a great family cat, but wouldn’t do well around small children. He will be shy at first in a new home, and will need a lot of attention. He would do well as an only cat, but also does fine with other cats. Peanut is house-trained, spayed and FELV/FIV negative. His vaccinations are current, and he is an inside-only cat. Toffee and Nova
Toffee the tortie is a confident, outgoing cat. She gets along well with other cats. She is dog curious, but has not spent much time with dogs. She likes to play and cuddle. She has bonded with Nova, a black kitten who is transitioning from feral to domestic life. The two are a close pair, and they are sweet, calm and easy to redirect from mischief. All Second Chance Kitties are spayed or neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated (including rabies if age-appropriate), tested for FIV/FeLV and litter-box trained before going to their new homes. Second Chance Kitty is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cats, kittens and the occasional dog escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect. Interested parties may call the adoption coordinator at 209-817-3030, visit our Facebook page at Second Chance Kitty, or email 2chancekittys@gmail.com.
