An unrecognizable country
Editor: I am shocked that this column is not overflowing with letters to you concerning our country, yes the United States of America in case some of you don’t recognize it. It does not feel like “America the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
To those who are reading this column today I pray that God will touch your heart and open your eyes to see what a tragedy our country is facing. Are we just gonna sit back and twiddle our thumbs and see what happens, or are we going to be bold, step up and speak out for what is right?
Lawlessness, disrespect and hatefulness have taken the place of love, respect and honor. How sad. Have you had enough? Then stand up, speak up and do something responsible and loving about it.
I was raised in the 1940s and ’50s — believe me our country looked nothing like this. In 1962 God was taken out of our public schools — no more prayer, no more Bible reading.
This has led to a moral and spiritual decay in our country. I can’t begin to list the moral and spiritual decay that exist in our country today. Every life in this country, any country is important. It doesn’t matter what your skin color is.
Our law enforcement officers are important men and women, yet they are disrespected and are being killed every single day. Our conduct is an abomination to God our creator. He will deal with us one day.
I pray for everyone who reads this column. Pray for our country, our people, law enforcement officers, pray for our schools and teachers to teach Godly curriculum. Pray our parents will have the courage to hold them accountable. Pray for leadership or lack of in the United States of America.
