Flames drop close game to West

The Lodi High boys basketball team dropped a close game to West on Monday, with a 65-57 loss.

Tony Rivera led the Flames with 17 points, and Kevin Dondero also hit double digits with 10.

Dylan Scott added nine, Jason Berry and Andrew Stirlen had five each, Pierce DeAndreis and Stephanos Pappas had four each, Vinny Montgomery had two and Mason Stout had one.

Motorcycle racing

In a night of flat-track motorcycle racing at Lodi Cycle Bowl, Tarren Santero of Petaluma won the Open Money race, with Andrew Luker of Gustine coming second, and Tyler Raggio of Lockeford third.

Other locals in the money race were Christian Spurgeon of Lodi in fifth, Dominic Dias of Lodi in ninth and Chad Spurgeon of Lodi in 10th.
