Donald Leroy Treece, 81, of Paducah, KY died Friday, July 2, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Treece resided in Stockton and Lodi California for 77 years and Idaho Falls, Idaho for two years. He moved to Paducah, KY last year to be near his granddaugh­ter and great grandkids. Don graduated Edison High School in 1958 and went on to complete a 4-year apprentice­ship at Stockton College. He worked as a cabinet maker for over 40 years. Don was a leader in 4-H for many years while raising his granddaugh­ter. Together they enjoyed raising animals, camping, hiking, playing tennis, and bike riding.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Geraldine “Geri” Treece of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Jerry Weagant of Arizona and Barbara Erickson of Nevada; two sister-inlaws, Gerry Treece of California, and Liz Willis of California; three grandchild­ren, Gerae Lindsey (Davy) of Paducah, KY, Donald Laniohan (Erika) of Santa Rosa, CA, Anthony Treece of Stockton, CA; and six great grandchild­ren, Jada Garfield (North) of Riverton, UT, Brant Lindsey of Logan, UT, Andrew Laniohan of Rohnert Park, CA, Emma Lindsey of Paducah, KY, Abigail Lindsey of Paducah, KY, and Tavia Lindsey of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvel and Helen Treece; one son, Rex Treece; one daughter, Rene Laniohan; one brother, Orvel Treece; and one greatgrand­child, Dixie Lindsey.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter, KY.

The family wishes to thank each member of the hospice team for providing great care to our Papa during his last days with us.
