CLEMENTS — The California Department of Transportation will conduct paving operations on Highway 88 at Liberty Road from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 7. Alternating lane closures will be implemented. Motorists should expect delays and take alternate routes when possible.
Caltrans is installing a single-lane, rural traffic circle to replace an intersection that currently has two stop signs at Liberty Road and free-flowing traffic on Highway 88.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall.
Woodbridge Irrigation to hold board meeting
WOODBRIDGE — The Woodbridge Irrigation District Board of Directors will meet for its regular meeting on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at 18750 North Lower Sacramento Road.
Stockton Chamber offers ATHENA Awards
STOCKTON — The Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for this year's ATHENA Leadership Award, and THE ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award for those younger than 40. The awards will be presented at the ATHENA Awards Luncheon on Nov. 4 at the Stockton Golf & Country Club.
Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Aug. 12.
The ATHENA Leadership Award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of accomplishment, excel in their chosen business or profession, have demonstrated support for the advancement of business and professional women, have devoted time and energy to their community, and have actively mentored others.
The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award is dedicated to recognizing the next generation of women leaders in San Joaquin County, and honors an individual who has demonstrated excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession; provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in her community; and clearly serves as a role model for young women personally and professionally. To be eligible, the nominee by be younger than 40 years old on October 1, 2021.
