DENNIS “DENNY” HOGG

Lodi resident Denny Hogg passed away at Lodi Memorial Hospital on Friday August 6th. He was born in San Mateo, CA and grew up in Cupertino, CA.

Denny served in the US Coast Guard for 25 years and retired in 2001 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was stationed in California mostly with the exception of his first tour of duty in Cape May NJ. He was very proud of his Military Career.

For the last 18 years Denny has worked as a rural carrier for the USPS in Lodi. The relationsh­ips he made with the community along his route is what he really liked about the job. His amazing character, humor, and kindness were recognized by all everyday.

Denny loved to travel with his wife Lorrie, and playing with his grandchild­ren, who called him BopBop. He loved watching the SF Giants play and a win made it even better. Golfing, BBQing, drinking beer, playing games and laughing with friends and family was his idea of a perfect day.

Denny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lorrie Hogg of Lodi; his daughters and their families, Abbie (Jonathan) Ferrera and children Giorgio and Estelle of Pacific Grove CA, and Jillian (Michael) Andrade and daughter Lennox of Seaside, CA; sister, Deborah Evans of Livermore; brother, Robert Hogg of Jamestown; and little sister, Cathy Hogg.

A celebratio­n of Life will be held Friday, September 3rd at 2 pm at the CA Central Coast Veterans Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Road, in Seaside, CA 93955.
