CYNTHIA GARDELLA

On Monday May 30, 2022, Cynthia Jane Gardella, loving wife, loving mother of 5 children, and loving grandmother of five, passed away at the age of 80 years. Cindy, as she liked to be called, was born December 8, 1941 in Stockton, CA. She was a high school graduate and married her husband of 44.5 years, Stephen John Gardella, Sr. at the age of 18 years. Cindy was predeceased by her husband, Stephen John Gardella, Sr. in 2005, and by her eldest son, Stephen John Gardella, Jr. in 2019. Cindy is survived by her four other children: Mark Gardella, Devlin Gardella, Stephenie Gardella, and Shelby Gardella. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Chaski and Tamaya (Devlin’s children) and Evan, Elijah, and Emerson (Shelby’s children).

Cindy loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She often said that’s all she ever wanted to be. However, Cindy was also an accomplished amateur attorney in pro per with only a high school diploma. She successfully won a 30-year court case for her family. Cindy was incredibly intelligent, had the best smile ever, loved all animals, and gave the best hugs ever. She will be missed terribly.

Her funeral will occur over two days. On Thursday June 16, 2022, there will be a viewing starting at 12pm followed by a rosary at 4pm at Chapel of the Palms Memorial Home at 303 S. California St. Stockton, CA 95203. Any questions can be directed to them at 209-465-0265. Also, any flowers should be sent to this address. The funeral will be on Friday June 17, 2022, with a 10am Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church at 3847 N. Sutter St. Stockton, CA 95204 followed by a procession to and a small ceremony at the mausoleum at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery at 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA 95204.
