MATTHEW ALLEN WAKEHAM

Born in Lodi, California August 15, 1980 passed unexpectedly on May 5, 2022 at age 41 in Sacramento, California.

Matthew was an extremely hard worker, he was not afraid of challenges and walked many paths during his life. Everywhere he went Matt touched someone in a special way. He was very caring and compassionate and a friend to everyone he knew. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco Giants The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Matthew. He had an uncanny ability to bring happiness to his mother by lighting all her candles, which brought him to be known as her “Simple Man.”

He leaves behind a daughter, Cheyenne Wakeham and her mother Ricki Chapman of Washington, daughters Adalyn and Sophia and son Noah Wakeham and their mother Rosie Cornado of Sacramento, his mother, Cheryl Wakeham of Lodi, a brother Adam Wakeham, his wife Sarah and their children Ryder, Saylor, and Wylder Wakeham, a sister Jalyne DeJong her husband Larson of Windsor and their children Kallie and Austin DeJong. His Aunt Diane Tenente of Lodi, Aunt Michelle Wakeham of Clements and Aunt Denise Bostick of Stockton, and many more uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

The family has planned a Celebration of Matthew’s life on July 30, 2022 at the Lockeford Community Center at 19258 N. Jack Tone Rd. in Lockeford CA, at 11:00AM. All family and friends are welcome to come.

There will be a private graveside service at his final resting spot the following day.
