Athena
Athena is an approximately 1-year-old, spayed female husky. Athena weighs approximately 44 pounds, is fully vaccinated, and is microchipped. She is sweet and affectionate, and very people oriented.
Athena has definitely gained confidence since we rescued her, and she now very eagerly seeks out interaction with people; just leashing her up may take a few minutes, because she gets so excited to spend time with our volunteers.
She is usually pretty mellow and low-key when she’s out in our play yards, but she can be very playful and spunky when the mood strikes her. What she really seems to love though, is just hanging out near us, where she can get lots of belly rubs and kisses.
When it comes to hanging out with other dogs, Athena can be particular about who she’ll play with, but she has had successful playdates with several of our dogs, so she might be okay with a dog with a similar temperament. She knows her basic obedience commands, and walks well on a leash, but we do recommend continued obedience training to help her bond with her new owner, and to help her reach her full K-9 potential. Bear-Bear
Bear-Bear is a handsome 4-year-old, 17pound, cream with white spaniel mix. He has a gorgeous silky coat that is a pleasure to touch. He came to us with an eye injury and had to have his eye removed. It has healed well without any complications.
Bear-Bear is shy but sweet. Can you give him the time he needs to blossom? He is used to being a pampered house pooch. He loves to play with toys and will run away with your socks! He wants to lounge on the couch by day and snuggle in your bed at night.
Bear-Bear walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. He is good with other dogs and unknown with cats. Bear-Bear would prefer your constant companionship. He likes to “talk” so no apartments or condos please. He is housebroken and used to being let out on a schedule (we expect a few accidents in a new environment). He will need occasional professional grooming. Are you ready for a sweet boy to love? Bear-Bear is ready for his happily ever after.
Harley is a 2-yearold tabby short-haired girl who needs a loving home. She would be best in a family with older children and will be a little shy at first. She gets along great with other kitties. She is not used to dogs or small children. She is current with routine shots, house-trained, spayed and is an inside-only cat.
