Kenneth Michael Kirsten was born December 19, 1948 to Jerry and Claudine Kirsten. He died peacefully at home on November 28, 2023 at the age of 74. Ken graduated from Lodi High School in 1967 and Sacramento State in 1971.

Ken married the love of his life, Diana Staat, in 1972. They moved their family back to Lodi in 1987. Ken was a member of the Odd Fellows Club, California Bean Shippers Associatio­n, and the Linden Lions. He had a fulfilling career in the bean industry where he made lifelong friends. Ken had many hobbies which included golfing, fishing, cowboy shooting, playing poker and annual family vacations to Lake Tahoe.

Ken was proceeded in death by his wife Diana and his parents Jerry and Claudine Kirsten. Ken is survived by his daughter, Lisa Kirsten and husband, Ed Leahy of Natomas; daughter, Lynn Locke and husband, Jason of Lodi; and daughter, Lora Kirsten of Lodi. Ken was the devoted grandfathe­r of Kirsten, Camden, and Colson Locke, and Dillon Wampler. Ken is also survived by his two sisters, Claudia Styles and Susie Kirsten of Lodi. Ken cherished his family, was a treasured friend to many and will be greatly missed, especially by his life-long best friend, Cecil Dillon.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at Waterloo Gun & Bocce Club on Tuesday, December 19 at 12:00 pm. Please wear Giants/orange gear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children either online or by mail to 2425 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento Ca 95817.
