Heart Walk to be held in Stockton next week

STOCKTON —

The American Desi Society will host its annual Heart Walk

2024 from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Nelson Park, 3619 Brookview Drive, Stockton.

The day will include a pizza lunch, and a free gift for those who register before the walk. Gifts will be limited to one per family, while supplies last.

San Joaquin County supervisor­s seek volunteers

STOCKTON — The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisor­s is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commission­s.

• Assessment

Appeals Board #2 — One first alternate member.

• Behavioral Health Advisory Board — One general interest representa­tive.

• Council for Quality Care and Education of Children — One discretion­ary representa­tive and two public agency representa­tives.

• Equal Employment Opportunit­y Advisory Board — Two at-large representa­tives.

• Health Commission of San Joaquin County — One San Joaquin County Medical

Society nominee.

• In-Home

Supportive Services Advisory Committee — One user representa­tive.

• Lodi Community Center Advisory Board — One at-large representa­tive.

• Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council — One member.

The deadline to submit applicatio­ns is March 1. Supervisor­s will consider qualified applicatio­ns at the April 9 meeting. Those appointed will be required to attend training. Dates and registrati­on informatio­n will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointmen­t.
