Heart Walk to be held in Stockton next week
STOCKTON —
The American Desi Society will host its annual Heart Walk
2024 from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Nelson Park, 3619 Brookview Drive, Stockton.
The day will include a pizza lunch, and a free gift for those who register before the walk. Gifts will be limited to one per family, while supplies last.

San Joaquin County supervisors seek volunteers
STOCKTON — The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commissions.
• Assessment
Appeals Board #2 — One first alternate member.
• Behavioral Health Advisory Board — One general interest representative.
• Council for Quality Care and Education of Children — One discretionary representative and two public agency representatives.
• Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Board — Two at-large representatives.
• Health Commission of San Joaquin County — One San Joaquin County Medical
Society nominee.
• In-Home
Supportive Services Advisory Committee — One user representative.
• Lodi Community Center Advisory Board — One at-large representative.
• Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council — One member.
The deadline to submit applications is March 1. Supervisors will consider qualified applications at the April 9 meeting. Those appointed will be required to attend training. Dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.
