90210 IS BACK AGAIN! HARRY WINSTON AND CRUSTACEAN UNVEIL NEW FACELIFTS, WHILE NEWBIES GOYARD AND GRATITUDE SET UP SHOP IN THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS ZIP CODE.
90210 is back! Standbys unveil new facelifts, while newbies set up shop in the world’s most famous ZIP code.
Rodeo Drive never really left, of course, but it’s refreshed and renewed for fall with a slew of newcomers. Luxury/cool handbag staple Goyard (405 N. Rodeo Dr., Beverly Hills; goyard.com) has claimed its spot on glitz/glam Rodeo with an oversize-logo’d vintagetrunk façade marking its first standalone boutique in LA. Shoppers no longer have to ship their patterned bags to Paris for custom, hand-painted monogramming. The 1,400-square-foot store is slated to open in late August and will carry a limited-edition Monte Carlo clutch as well as a gold-colored Goyardine canvas tote to fête the opening. Down the block, what’s old is new again as Harry Winston (310 N. Rodeo Dr.,
Beverly Hills, 310-2718554; harrywinston.com) unveils its not-so-little nip/ tuck—doubling in size to a rumored 10,000-squarefoot space—later this year.
Over on buzzy Canon, trendy Gratitude (419 N. Canon Dr., 424-3891850; cafegratitude.com) has taken on BH’s steakhouse and Italian mainstays as the hot spot for a health-conscious power lunch. The vegan cult favorite (sister restaurant to Gracias Madre) is pouring its popular CBD cannabinoid-spiked Sour T-iesel cocktail, certainly a new twist for the ladies who lunch! A few doors down,
in the former Nic’s space, Tatel (453 N. Canon Dr., Beverly Hills; tatelrestaurants.com) will be injecting nightlife into sometimes-snooze-y 90210. The Spanish restaurant and lounge, with locations in Madrid, Miami, and Ibiza, counts Pau Gasol, Enrique Iglesias, and Rafael Nadal as investors.
Down the street, American Tea Room (410 N. Canon Dr., Beverly Hills, 310271-7922; american tearoom.com) recently reopened its BH locale to include a more café-like atmosphere serving up food, coffee, and of course premium teas. For a more millennial experience, check out Alfred Tea Room’s (490 N. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills; alfredcoffee.com) latest Insta-worthy location. Or head to La Colombe (9606 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-4022821; lacolombe.com) for a shot of espresso or their famous canned draft latte before heading out for a day of shopping. The rapidly expanding chain based out of Philly first touched down in nearby Century City and marks its second LA location in Beverly Hills.
Adding to the revamps, Crustacean (9646 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-205-8990; house ofan.com/crustaceanbh) is transforming into two separate dining options: On the first floor, the dining room will have a rejiggered menu, while the top floor will open under a separate name—with a menu helmed by the legendary House of An team. Of course.
What’s Beverly Hills without a little R&R? Indulge with AKA Beverly Hills’ (155 N. Crescent Dr., Beverly Hills, 310-385-1924; stayaka.com) Live It program, where guests opt for “extra-clusive” experiences such as private film screenings and wine tastings, as well as luxury amenities such as Spago in-room dining and treatments at nearby Tomoko Spa. Not pampered enough? Head over to the glittering new Waldorf Astoria (9850 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-861-1212; waldorf astoriabeverlyhills.com), where celeb hair colorist Tracey Cunningham (who also co-owns Meche) just opened an ultraexclusive namesake salon. Equipped with only five chairs, the jewel-box space is ideal for VIP clients, as it’s only accessible via private elevator. The already sizzling WA is the perfect place, in fact, to unpack those Goyard bags and check out the haute new Beverly Hills—in style!
