Alan Mescon

In remembranc­e of Alan Mescon who passed away on January 29, 2015. Alan was born as Alan Davis in Bronx, New York on July 14, 1932 to Elizabeth (Lejka) Davis, née Goldenberg (later to become Elizabeth Mescon) and Solomon Davis. DNA testing recently revealed Alan was the biological son of Elizabeth Goldenberg Davis and Morris Mescon, né Cohen. Alan had two half-siblings, Herbert Mescon, né Cohen (1919-1985), married to Barbara, née McKenzie (1921-1990) and Helen Rosan, née Cohen and Mescon (Burton), children of Morris Mescon, né Cohen and his first wife Bella Mescon, née Paleschuck.

In 1946 when Alan was fourteen years old and his sister Joan (also determined through DNA testing to be the biological daughter of Elizabeth Mescon and Morris Mescon) was ten years old, Elizabeth Davis and Morris Mescon divorced their respective spouses and moved from New York City with a brief stop in Arkansas to North Hollywood, California where they became the Mescon Family.

Alan was preceded in death by his first wife of forty one years, Marlene Mescon, née Borten and Stone (1935-1996). Alan was survived by his second wife, Barbara Mescon, née Cherne and his sister Joan Saks, née Davis and Mescon (Leonard) (1935-2017). Alan was also survived by his children, Sherry Lou Mescon aka Liz Milan, Susan Linda Blackman, née Mescon (Ken), David Brian Mescon (Angela) and step-daughter Gena Rogin, née Bloom (Tzvi) and her family.

He was also survived by grandchild­ren Michael Milan (Janene), Robert Milan, Diana Milan, Stacy Levine, Steven Mescon, Shauna Gossman (Phillip) (19882020), step-grandchild­ren Gregory Papaj, Racheal Carbajal (Robert), April Marks, Erin Burgess (Chris), Shoshana Teitelbaum and their families.
